Lesley Ash is a nice looking young woman, well-known in the UK for her appearances in Men Behaving Badly and a series of television adverts for DoItAll, a DIY chain. She has that effortless beauty that makes her attractive whatever she does, whatever she wears. So why did she have botox? She told a women's magazine: "When you get to 42, you experiment. With women, the first place you go is the mouth area. Your lips start disappearing into your mouth. Unfortunately I think there was a bit too much put in there."

"I had an accident," Ash, who is currently starring in BBC's Merseybeat, complained to the Radio Times. "People don't laugh at Heather Mills because she lost a leg," she added.

"Leslie is responding well to treatment," her spokesman said. "Doctors have not indicated when she might leave hospital." The 43-year-old actress spent five days at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital being treated for a broken rib and collapsed lung.
